Christmas Karaoke Memories

OHMYGOSH! I was over joyed to see that longtime JTV songstress Cindy1 was going to continue her tradition of singing the Christmas Karaoke. This marked the 4th year for her holiday gift. Ahhh In past years I have filled out my Christmas cards, wrapped presents, knitted, chatted with friends, made cookies and of course sang along.

Paul has a zillion followers so he must be good! :-) I am a new fan/convert. He plays his lovely acoustic guitar and accepts requests. I think he is a huge Beatles fan though and plays many covers! Hi!!!!!!!

I have missed (maybe on purpose) writing about all of the changes on JTV lately... staff changes, trolls, channel canceling, new broadcasters, old broadcasters coming back, chatters acting badly, rumors, gossip -- all kinds of juicy stuff. So -- here are a few little tidbits. :-)

I have to mention the JTV iPhone app. Ohhhh -- I love that darn thing. I broadcast a little gossip chat each morning for a small group of friends -- I enjoy that time so much. The app is perfect for that. Also, I enjoy broadcasting special events around my city, my family, pets, craft projects, shopping trips etc. If you have an iPhone or a Droid -- you should download the free app and get casting.

My friend Dennis(Kioken) has moved from Florida to New York City and is rooming with another friend/JTV Famous DJ, pod caster, movie maker, broadcaster -- RNO From Paris. I can hardly wait to see the new place after they fix it up. The excitement for me is seeing Dennis brave his new live in NYC. Just about 2 years ago -- I watched RNO do the same thing when he moved from Paris, France to The Big Apple. Good Luck Dennis! xxoo

Busy Busy and New and Improved APP

Meetin' & Greetin' Kioken,Frank & ECV

WOW -- what an action packed --Saturday evening on JTV. Some long awaited meetings and collaborations came to fruition. It kept me quite busy.

First up....

Frank from Frank Taylor's Lifecast, Kioken, and ECV.

Frank welcomed Dennis and ECV to his home on Saturday evening.

ECV drove the guys to Benihana.

After dinner the three stopped back at Frank's place and answered questions from his chatroom. After freshening up a bit the left to gamble at the Hard Rock Casino.

Sunday, much to the disappointment of his many fans -- Kioken was not feeling well and stayed in the hotel room the whole night.

That didn't stop ECV and Frank though -- they were out and about again --

and they gambled and partied themselves.

Justin's New Venture

According to the Saboteur blog -- Jacob -- yes, our Jacob -- the JTV staff person -- shot this video using his iphone 4.0. Justin looks HOT in pink. The biggest mistake though, is not having Justin speak during this video. He has the greatest voice and would be a great spokesperson for the company.

Pressing News: Kel_ Irons!

During my almost 3 years of blogging about JTV I have blogged about various broadcasters -- ironing. I find it intriguing because I really enjoy ironing -- and do it each day. I like to say that I do my best thinking while I am ironing. But ask anyone what sort of house work/personal care task they dislike the most and they will say ironing. I know people who don't even own an iron lol. Jane_DS and now Kel_ have ironed while broadcasting and I think that is fabulous.

Juicy STATS!

Oh this new Vaughn service/feature is proving to be OHHH so juicy -- I just can't get enough. You must sign your channel up or suggest your favorite broadcaster takes part in this -- TODAY. All you have to do to enable the stats on your channel is to type " !statson " in your chatroom and viola you are on your way to the mother lode of juice -- some of it scandalous. WOOT! Please note that the broadcaster of a channel is responsible for "flipping the switch" to enable this feature.

There is a list of the top 25 channels based on the number of total people chatting in the channel -- see column far. You can find that list here ... https://vaughn.vg/jtv/stats/ not every channel that is enrolled in this service will be listed on the top 25 channels -- but it is fun to assist a channel in staying in the top 25. ;-)

Then by clicking a name on the list -- you get specialized stats for that channel. Please note -- there is some juice to be had on some of these channels reports. To protect the innocent -- I have used a boring channel. But... get out -- run free check out some of those channels listed!

If you want to share the link to your VG Stats page type " !stats " in the channel and you will get a direct link to the stats of that page listed nicely in the chatroom. Anyone can get the direct link to a channel's stats -- by typing the !stats comment -- no need to be a mod or the host.

Pop up some popcorn, mix up a little drinkie pooh and enjoy.

Your channel stats report will list a list of chatters by screen name, the number of lines they typed and a fantastic little "chat bite" I call it -- ohhh dang juicy!

Rippin' It Up

A few days during the last several weeks -- my friend SpaceGuy has been ripping some of his record albums to his iTunes library. Man what a collection of Vinyl he has. Amazing. For some time now I have been enjoying the 24/7 music stream of an Internet Radio Station VIA JTV. I listen to many channels on JTV for their music and CRAVE is one of the best. The playlist is varied and many broadcasters have started using this channel as their background music.

The broadcaster has also injected various radio programs into his weekly schedule. From talk shows to old radio programs. Last night it was an old "The Shadow" mystery.

Aww. Sorry Mac --- I just had to snap a picture of you sacked out on your chair this morning. Such a dedicated broadcaster! As most of the people in your packed channel were starting their days -- yours was just ending -- working all day and broadcasting music until the sun comes up. I have heard Evan and Caleb say that the profiles are still there many times during Founders Chat. I know they said new folks will not have profiles. Although I didn't like this idea -- I was just content in knowing that I would still have my profile, my start date and little bio on JTV. I just updated a link on my profile and was a bit shocked to see the message in yellow.

The removal of the NETWORKS I can/could understand. They didn't get much use. But the profiles -- I would bet that they are checked constantly by everyone. For anyone here since April -- generally no profile people = trolls. This is not too open minded but it seems to be the general consensus.

So I invested 3 years in JTV and will have nothing to show for it soon. Nothing to say that I stuck with them thru all of the changes to the site, star broadcasts, thru down times, negative press, staff changes, etc.

I sure hope that they are just redesigning a similar PROFILE system and our individuality, history, loyalty stays in tact and not lost in the changes to the site.
